A planned time is a target time that refers to certain process segments and is described using influencing factors. Effects of the work object or task that correlate with the time required for the execution of the work are regarded as influencing factors. For example, the machining time for a hole depends on the diameter and depth of the hole. If you have determined some corner times here, you can mathematically determine the time values for the missing influencing variables in the series. As a rule, the influencing variables are to be calculated by means of statistical regression calculation and their effect determined. The simplest form of planned time formation is the linear function. However, this is often no longer sufficient for complex processes with several unknowns. Then polynomials or logarithms can help.
Why planned time determination?
Planned times are used when a mathematical derivation of time values is possible, and the effort required to determine data on time recordings is not economically justifiable. Using spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel, regression calculations can be carried out and managed relatively easily today. If it is necessary to operate an integrated time management system, however, it is advisable to rely on expert software.
